If there are to be more Wars then I have died in vain.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It is on the headstone of Sergeant Phillip James Ball MM,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/44th_Battalion_%28Australia%29\" target=\"_blank\">44th Australian Imperial Force<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He was born in Birmingham, England and\u00a0later moved to Western Australia to become, I believe, a farmer.<\/p>\n<p>He enlisted 24\/01\/1916 and was killed 28\/03\/1918 aged 21.<\/p>\n<p>His grave is in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cwgc.org\/find-a-cemetery\/cemetery\/63701\/VILLERS-BRETONNEUX%20MILITARY%20CEMETERY\" target=\"_blank\">Villers-Brettonneux Military Cemetery<\/a>, grave\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cwgc.org\/find-war-dead\/casualty\/575556\/BALL,%20PHILIP%20JAMES\" target=\"_blank\">III.
