Back in the days when GoComics still allowed comments on posts, this cartoon got some interesting responses. First the usual defence of guns:

Guns don’t kill people. People do.

which got a considered response:

“If guns don’t kill people, but people kill people, isn’t it then logical to not give people guns?”

and better yet:

“In the past 30 years about 3,500 Americans have been killed by terrorists in the entire world.
About 3,500 Americans are shot by Americans in America every 7 weeks.

The problem is not terrorists. It is other Americans.“
